Discover, Relax & Live with México Te Invita. Enjoy a unique experience in perfect harmony with nature as you paddle a kayak at sunrise, surrounded by the breathtaking beauty of an ecological reserve declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
This incredible adventure begins early in the morning. We will pick you up from your hotel lobby around 5:00 am and take you south of Mexico City, to the Nativitas pier in the Xochimilco district.
Upon arrival, you will receive a safety briefing before the activity. Once you are equipped with a life jacket, the most exciting part begins: paddling calmly through the network of canals while letting your senses flow and immersing yourself in the magic and mysticism of this place.
During the kayak ride, we will make a brief stop to learn more about the Island of the Dolls and visit a local axolotl hatchery. The axolotl, an endemic species of the salamander family, was considered a deity in Aztec times.
As an optional add-on, we recommend completing this experience with breakfast (not included) in the bohemian neighborhood of Coyoacán, where you can also explore the history of one of Mexico’s most iconic cultural figures, Frida Kahlo, by visiting her world-famous home and museum, the Frida Kahlo Museum, also known as the Blue House. (Please request in advance to arrange the corresponding reservation.)
Afterward, return transfer to your hotel.

- Bring a light but warm jacket or fleece
- Consider a hat, scarf, or gloves (temperatures are cool at sunrise)
- Sunscreen is highly recommended
- Take care of your valuables—remember, they can’t swim!
