DAY 1 – CITY OF ORIGIN / MEXICO CITY

Reception at the airport by our staff and transfer to the hotel. Overnight stay.

 

DAY 2 – MEXICO CITY – CITY TOUR & ANTHROPOLOGY MUSEUM

Breakfast. CITY TOUR starting with the famous Historic Center: Zócalo, Cathedral, National Palace, Diego Rivera’s murals, Paseo de la Reforma and Chapultepec, where the National Museum of Anthropology is located. Here you will appreciate a mosaic of the country’s most important cultures during a fascinating visit.

You may choose to remain at the museum to explore it fully or return to the hotel. For your free afternoon, we suggest visiting the floating gardens of Xochimilco. Overnight stay.

 

START OF CIRCUIT – THURSDAYS (CHECK CALENDAR)

DAY 3 – MEXICO CITY – PUEBLA – OAXACA

Breakfast. Departure at 08:00 towards PUEBLA. Begin your CULTURAL VISIT with the temple of Sta. María Tonantzintla, a true artistic and colorful surprise. In the historic center we will visit: Plaza de Armas, Cathedral, Chapel of the Rosary, Casa de las Muñecas, Compañía de Jesús, University, Plazuela and Callejón de los Sapos, Casa del Alfeñique… Free time at El Parián, a lively handicraft market. Group welcome lunch. Continue to OAXACA. Overnight stay.

 

DAY 4 – OAXACA (MONTE ALBÁN + CITY TOUR)

American breakfast. CULTURAL VISITS of MONTE ALBÁN and OAXACA. We start with Monte Albán: Building S, Building J, Systems IV & M, Tomb 104, Main Platform…

In Oaxaca’s historic center, marvel at the Temple of Santo Domingo de Guzmán, winner of the 2001 Queen Sofía Prize for Restoration. Walk along the Tourist Corridor filled with monuments, galleries, shops, and restaurants, reaching the Alameda, Cathedral, and Zócalo. End at the Benito Juárez and 20 de Noviembre markets. Afternoon free to enjoy this indigenous and colonial jewel rich in traditions. Overnight stay.

 

DAY 5 – OAXACA (CENTRAL VALLEYS) / TEHUANTEPEC

American breakfast. This morning is dedicated to the main attractions of the Central Valleys:

Santa María el Tule, home of the world’s oldest tree.

Teotitlán del Valle, famous for colorful wool rugs woven on domestic looms with natural dyes like indigo, cochineal, and rock moss.

Mitla, the former Zapotec religious and cultural capital, admired for its fine stonework.

Lunch. Free time to visit a local mezcal distillery. Crossing cactus-filled valleys of the Sierra Madre, we arrive at TEHUANTEPEC in the evening. Dinner and overnight stay.

 

DAY 6 – TEHUANTEPEC / SUMIDERO CANYON / SAN CRISTÓBAL

American breakfast. We continue through the foothills of the Sierra Madre towards Chiapas. At midday, board motorboats to navigate the Grijalva River through the stunning Sumidero Canyon, a true natural wonder with its caves, the “Tree of Christmas,” waterfalls, and towering cliffs. Free time in Chiapa de Corzo. Continue to SAN CRISTÓBAL DE LAS CASAS. Hotel check-in and free time. Overnight stay.

 

DAY 7 – SAN CRISTÓBAL DE LAS CASAS (TZOTZIL COMMUNITIES)

American breakfast. Morning visit to San Cristóbal: indigenous market and the Santo Domingo church. Nearby, we’ll explore the Tzotzil communities of San Juan Chamula and Zinacantán, offering an unforgettable morning of tradition, colors, and local crafts. Afternoon free. Overnight stay.

 

DAY 8 – SAN CRISTÓBAL / AGUA AZUL WATERFALLS & MISOL-HA / PALENQUE

American breakfast. Travel through lush landscapes to the Agua Azul Waterfalls, where the turquoise waters, vibrant vegetation, and soothing sounds create a natural paradise. Visit Misol-Ha Waterfall, with an option to swim. Continue to PALENQUE for a peaceful overnight stay surrounded by nature.

 

DAY 9 – PALENQUE / VILLAHERMOSA

American breakfast. CULTURAL VISIT to the archaeological site of Palenque, renowned for its Temple of the Inscriptions, the Palace, and more. Transfer to Villahermosa airport. (Please book flights departing after 18:00). End of services.

The route San Cristóbal / Agua Azul / Misol-Ha / Palenque has recently faced issues due to roadblocks and extortion. For the safety of our clients, we will operate an alternate route San Cristóbal / Villahermosa / Roberto Barrios Waterfalls / Palenque when required.
