We will head east from Mexico City towards Cholula, home to the largest pyramid in the world, standing 64 meters tall. In this area, 37 churches were built; the most representative is Santa María Tonantzintla Church, whose interior is adorned with exquisite ornamental sculptures crafted by Indigenous artisans, showcasing the religious syncretism of the era.
We will then continue to the city of Puebla de los √Ångeles, where Renaissance and Baroque styles combine beautifully-most notably in the Rosary Chapel, considered the “eighth wonder of the world,” with altarpieces entirely covered in gold. The city itself has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Free time for lunch (not included). At the scheduled time, return to Mexico City. Overnight stay.
