Mexico City Tour
Vive Frida is a journey into the iconic gaze and mystique surrounding Frida Kahlo. A voyage through controversy, her uninhibited personality, her art, her experiences—and above all, her unrestrained passion for life.
Much has been said, written, and speculated about this controversial figure of post-revolutionary Mexico. Now, we will rediscover her through her unique vision, as shared by the Kahlo family itself, in some of the most meaningful places where Frida left her mark in Mexico City.
We begin this fascinating tour with a stroll through Mexico City’s Historic Center, visiting landmark buildings through Frida’s eyes, such as the Old College of San Ildefonso, where she studied, and the emblematic Ministry of Public Education, whose walls still preserve murals by the great artists of the time, including Diego Rivera and José Clemente Orozco.
We will then follow the story of Frida’s life in Mexico City, including the tragic event that forever changed her destiny, along the former streetcar route to Coyoacán.
In the bohemian and intellectual neighborhood of Coyoacán, we will uncover her passions, visiting the home of one of her many secret lovers, the revolutionary thinker Leon Trotsky, delving into a tale where passion, politics, revenge, and untold secrets intertwine.
At the scheduled time, return to the hotel.
MÉXICO TE INVITA to rediscover this iconic figure of Mexican culture through a tour offering a completely different perspective.
